British Showjumping Spring Championships at Addington Manor

Tuesday 18 April 2017

British Showjumping Spring Championships at Addington Manor

British Showjumping’s inaugural Spring Championships took place at Addington Manor over the Easter weekend giving members three days of jumping and six championship titles to aim for.

The venue, always a popular one with our members, attracted competitors from the length and breadth of the country all hoping to claim at least one of the new titles on offer.

The courses, which were designed by London 2012 course designer Bob Ellis, gave some great competition across the shows entirety with members also thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to compete across some former Olympic Games fences.

British Showjumping would like to extend their congratulations to the six championship title winners and all of those who had placings across both the qualifier, warm up and championship final classes.

Winners:

The Bronze League Championship was scooped by Sophie Corney from South Humberside, Lincolnshire riding her own 19 year-old bay mare, Lapaloma.

Rachel Vicary from Crediton, Devon took the Silver League Championship on board Amanda Vicary’s 16 year-old grey gelding, Sparkling Indulgence.

The winner of the Winter Amateur Championship was Lilly Bradstock from Wantage, Oxon on Benedictus, an 11 year-old bay gelding owned by Ann Solis.

The Winter Grade C Championship title was secured by Al Yaqub from Eccles, Manchester on his 7 year-old bay gelding, Oligar Angelus.

Ben Walker from Ruislip, Middlesex became the Winter 1.35m Champion with Downes Howard’s 8 year-old bay gelding, Roulette H.

The Under 25 Championship was won by Lucy Warren from Ingatestone, Essex riding her own 9 year-old bay mare, Deltina.

NB: Qualifications will be updated pending grading of results.
