British Showjumping’s Pony Squad Announced for Opglabbeek Nations Cup

The British Showjumping squad selected to represent Great Britain in the Pony Nations Cup in Opglabbeek, Belgium is as follows. The competition takes place between the 11th – 14th May 2017 at Sentower Park.

Madison Jamison, aged 16, from Knuzden, Blackburn with Bodyssee Des Avelines, a 10 year-old dark bay mare owned by Nicola Jamison

Tahnia Jordan Jones, aged 14, from Swindon, Wiltshire with AKM Beech Comber, a 12 year-old dark bay gelding owned by Tania Andrews

Nicole Lockhead Anderson, aged 15, from Banchory, Aberdeenshire with Claggan Gypsy Delight, a 13 year-old skewbald gelding owned by Christine Graham

Antonia Platt, aged 15, from Chelmsford, Essex with Sligo Furisto Flight, a 12 year-old bay mare owned by Rosalind Platt

Ffion Roberts, aged 14, from Holywell, Flintshire with Rich Faith, a 13 year-old bay mare owned by Joan Roberts

Faye Sutton, aged 14, from Whitchurch, Shropshire with Robe Ruadh, a 13 year-old dun gelding owned by Jacqueline Sutton

The Nations Cups competition takes place on Saturday 13th May whilst the Grand Prix will be held on Sunday 14th May. The Chef d’Equipe’s accompanying the teams will be Tony Newbery and Clare Whitaker.

The GBR showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage.
