Derek Morton secures victory in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Field House Equestrian Centre

Field House Equestrian Centre in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire held the final Nupafeed Senior Discovery Second Round of the season and it was Derek Morton who gave the winning performance with three foot perfect rounds.

Fifty-seven keen starters came forward all looking to secure a place in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held during the British Showjumping National Championships in August. From a competitive field, twenty-eight double clears were posted to make it a nail-biting final jump off against the clock.

Making the short journey from Stone, Staffordshire, Derek Morton rode Tildorado S, a 7 year-old bay gelding owned by Beech House Stud straight in to first place. This partnership picked up the pace and used their eye for accuracy to deliver a cracking treble clear in 40.93 seconds.

Jumping in to second place was Camille Crow from Cannock, Staffordshire on board her own 7 year-old bay mare, Frankie VI. This combination put forward a strong performance, leaving all the fences standing in 42.76 seconds.

Third place went to Nikki Freeman from Rugeley, Staffordshire riding Firstsign B, a 7 year-old dark bay mare owned by Hannah Cox. This pair crossed the finish line with a treble clear in 42.88 seconds.

With another ten combinations also achieving a treble clear, a total of thirteen combinations now go forward to the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final.
