Elloise Smit & Madison Heath claim the Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic wins at Bury Farm Equestrian Centre

The concluding 2018 Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifiers got underway this weekend at Bury Farm Equestrian Centre in Slapton, Buckinghamshire and they were held during their 148cm Pony Premier Show.

As the final qualifying places were on offer for the prestigious Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Championship, which will be held during the British Masters International Horse Show, also at SouthView Equestrian Centre (29th June – 1st July 2018), two hotly contested classes played out.

Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifier – Saturday 10th March 2018

Over a challenging course, Elloise Smit from Maidstone, Kent rode a foot perfect round on board Newtown Samson, a 16 year-old dun gelding owned by Deborah Smit. This combination produced a technically accurate round to secure the sole clear of the class for first place in 62.48 seconds.

Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifier Results:

1st Elloise Smit & Newtown Samson – 0 – 62.48 seconds
2nd Madison Heath & Cisco Bay II – 4 – 57.15 seconds
3rd Elsi Jacques & Westward Sunshine – 4 – 62.25 seconds

Charles Britton Equestrian Construction Winter JA Classic Qualifier – Sunday 11th March 2018

In the second qualifier of the show, thirteen year old Madison Heath from Nantwich, Cheshire partnered her father Graham Heath’s fourteen year old bay gelding, Cisco Bay II to claim the win. In a tight three horse jump off, this partnership held their nerve after rolling a pole at the first fence to deliver the fastest 4 fault round of the class, crossing the finish line in 40.02 seconds.

1st Madison Heath & Cisco Bay II – 0/4 – 40.02 seconds
2nd Elsi Jacques & Westward Sunshine – 0/4 – 40.25 seconds
3rd Elizabeth Baker & Adams Fancy – 0/4 – 43.54 seconds
