Emma-Jo Slater tops the table in KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Second Round at Parwood Equestrian Centre

A big field of eighty-four competitors came forward to compete in the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Second Round at Parwood Equestrian Centre in East Sussex on Sunday and Emma Jo-Slater proved to be on formidable form once again.

Each and every competitor started the class with high hopes of gaining a place in the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final which is to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August. Following two competitive rounds, nineteen remained to contest for a treble clear in the final jump off.

Emma-Jo Slater from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire took her spot in the final jump off on board Kings of Leon, an 8 year-old bay gelding owned by Kim Barzilay. Over the newly shortened course, this pair flew to a treble clear crossing the finish line in an unbeatable 44.49 seconds.

Scooping second place was Cassie Ann Chapman from Westerham, Kent with her own 6 year-old bay mare, Chicago VII. This combination also posted a treble clear and finished in a time of 49.11 seconds.

Charlotte Edwards from Andover, Hampshire jumped in to third place on board Little Pocket Rock II, a 7 year-old grey mare owned by Jeanette Edwards. This partnership claimed their treble clear in 49.72 seconds.
