Success for Georgia Tame in John Oates Horseboxes Under 25’s

Georgia Tame stole the show and continued her fantastic form in the first class in the International Arena at the Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championships.

Ten made it through to the jump-off in the John Oates Horseboxes Under 25’s, a  fiercely competitive class featuring many of the country’s leading young riders with Oliver Fletcher securing two rides for the second round.

First to go Oliver and the 11-year-old Horst van de Mispeleare set a fantastic pace on the scopey, bay gelding, crossing the line in 37.56 seconds only for the final fence to fall.

Brother William followed riding Emmerton with a smooth round in 39.20 on the big jumping 10-year-old, to take the eventual runner-up spot.

Hickstead-based Georgia then set the class alight with determined riding right from the start.  Shaving inches off the round, her fabulous form was there for all to see as she took three seconds off William’s time.

A winner at last week’s British Show Jumping National Championships, this was the first show together for Georgia and Jeff Ten Halven who she will focus on the Under 25 classes at Bolesworth.

Said Georgia: “I was really pleased with the round, he’s very talented and I couldn’t have asked for any more.  It’s a very new partnership and I was delighted with how he went.”

Ideal S and Charlotte Ash entered the arena eighth to go and moving throughout the course on the clean jumping chestnut, she came home clear in 40.71 seconds to take third.

Speed merchant Millie Allen and Chantal set off chasing the clock and cutting every corner she just beat Georgia’s time as the last fence fell.

A great start to the Equitop Bolesworth Young Horse Championships with fantastic action throughout the week.
