The Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show Elite Auction 2017

Following the huge success of the last two Elite Horse Auctions the organisers of The 2017 Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show are delighted to announce that this year’s Auction will be the focus of the Friday evening entertainment.

The Auction will be expanding this year to include foals and a limited number of special embryos, and will be run in partnership with Luk Van Puymbroeck & Gerald Lenearts, organisers of the successful Flanders foal auctions, based in Belgium.

The unique concept of selecting youngstock with ‘Black type’ dam lines will be developed this year following last year's auction success that generated total sales revenue of almost £200,000.

The strict criteria for selection ensures that every lot will be by a top commercial Show jumping stallion, with close relations on the dam side that have competed internationally at 1.50m level or above.  Luk & Gerald will be overseeing the selection process, both in the UK, and Europe.

Taking centre-stage on the evening of day three at Bolesworth - Friday, June 16 - significant lots will be presented and are certain to attract major interest, especially with many of the youngstock being related to well-known top International performers within the sport.

Bolesworth Show President Nina Barbour said: “The elite horse auction has proved to be a great success and is an important part of the Bolesworth International.  We are excited to be working with the team from the Flanders Auction, and with their help we plan to take the auction to the next level as a destination for owners to invest in their next superstar.”

The sale will be held in Bolesworth's VIP marquee at 9pm on June 16. Normal ticket holders will have access to the Owners’ & Riders' Lounge next to the VIP marquee with fully licensed bar and full viewing of the auction.

Lots will be available to view on site during the day on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 adjacent to the Main Arena. There will be an official preview in the Main Arena at 6.30pm on June 16. Telephone bidding will be available on the night.

If you would like to submit an application, please send full pedigree and a photo to nina@bolesworth.com.
