Charlotte Arnold is victorious in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at Dean Valley Equestrian Centre

Dean Valley Equestrian Centre in Cheshire played host to an Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round on Saturday and it was Charlotte Arnold who claimed the first Horse of the Year Show ticket.

With two direct qualifying tickets up for grabs for the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show in October, all forty-two starting combinations were aiming to gain that vital treble clear. Course designer Gillian Milner asked numerous questions in the first two rounds which only eight could answer.

Charlotte Arnold from Stockton-On-Tees, Cleveland took the win with her own Leestone Blue Voltet, a 7 year-old Irish bred mare by Plot Blue whom Charlotte has produced from British Novice level. They crossed the finish line in 42.48 seconds, 2.13 seconds faster than second placed Simon Buckley. Simon piloted Johanna Buckley’s Pewit Dezesseis, a 7 year-old British bred by Je T’aime Flamenco, through the finish line in 44.61 seconds.

The top two combinations secured their place in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show and the top five took home the chance to compete in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Masters at the British Showjumping National Championships.
