Dodson & Horrell 95cm and 1.10m National Amateur Second Rounds at Parwood Equestrian Centre

The Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Second Rounds at Parwood Equestrian Centre in Normandy, Surrey drew forty-five keen competitors to compete across the 0.95m and 1.10m Second Rounds. Qualification for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, held at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool during the 13th – 18th November 2018, was in everyone’s sights.

Natasha Seely from Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire narrowly took first place with her 13 year-old bay gelding, Alpino R.

In a strong class, thirteen combinations of the initial thirty-one made it through course designer Ben Townley’s first round to make the jump off. Natasha and Alpino R took all the shortcuts and shaved 0.19 of a second off Hannah Tiley’s jump off time to cross the line in 38.25 seconds.

Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round

Hannah Tiley from Horsham, West Sussex took her place at the top of the leader board on Victoria Morton’s 7 year-old bay mare RLE Touch of Fabulous.

Five made it through to the eight fence jump off but only three could produce a double clear. Hannah took advantage of all the tight-turns on offer and stormed to the win in 45.13 seconds, 4.33 seconds faster than her rivals.
