Equi-Trek sign up to support the British Showjumping Business Partnership for a fifth year

Equi-Trek, the largest producer of horseboxes and trailers in the UK, will once again be joining forces with British Showjumping. Equi-Trek has signed up to support the British Showjumping Business Partnership for a fifth year and in doing so, will remain a pivotal partner in underpinning the performance pathway programme via the funding of the International Stairway series.

A family run business, Equi-Trek specialises in horse transport; from lightweight, towable horse trailers with a safety enhancing side-ramp, to the professionals 10-stall, 26 tonne Mercedes Actros. Since the company was founded in 1999 with the launch of the industry’s first side-loading horse trailer with living accommodation, Equi-Trek has expanded to become one of the world’s leading equestrian brands. Since 2015 Equi-Trek has been a supplier to the British Equestrian Teams and is endorsed by some of Europe’s leading riders as “the best on the market” including John Whitaker, Nick Skelton and Performance Manager Di Lampard.

Equi-Trek pride themselves in the functionality, strength and value of their horseboxes. Their vehicles are strength tested to give peace of mind to their customers that their vehicle is as safe as it can be in the event of an accident. Equi-Trek remain the only horsebox manufacturer in the UK to build exclusively on a brand new chassis and hold the prestigious VCA European Type Approval across their range. Equi-Trek trailers and horseboxes have proved hugely successful in the UK and now have thousands of loyal, happy customers across the world. From humble beginnings on the outskirts of West Yorkshire, they are now the largest exporter of vehicles to Europe and as far afield as the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Equi-Trek has over 20 approved UK dealerships and almost 50 worldwide.

Tom Janion, Managing Director of Equi-Trek commented “The partnership with a forward-thinking establishment like British Showjumping really ties in with our second generation of vehicles and trailers. Equi-Trek are the first to manufacture a completely wood free structure on all of our latest models, which not only extends the life span of the vehicles and trailers considerably, but also is a significant weight reduction, in some cases giving a 300kg saving whilst making the vehicles and trailers stronger than they previously were.”

Maria Haig, Head of Communications for British Showjumping added “Following four successful terms, we are very pleased to be announcing Equi-Trek’s fifth year of alignment with the Business Partnership. Their longstanding commitment has proved crucial in supporting our performance pathway programme and we are happy that they have once again chosen British Showjumping as a platform for promoting their range of horse transport.”
