Nicole Kershaw claims the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at Weston Lawns Equitation Centre
Wednesday 27 June 2018
With the only treble clear of the class, Nicole Kershaw claimed first place in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at Weston Lawns Equitation Centre near Coventry, Warwickshire on Monday.
With two direct qualifying tickets on offer for the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show in October, each of the fifty-seven starters were looking to post a treble clear over Stephen Williams’ technical course. Poles fell during the first two rounds, leaving just nine competitors to go forward to the final jump-off.
Nicole Kershaw from Manchester took the lead on board Alan Fazakerley’s 8 year-old gelding LCC Comanche. After two foot perfect rounds, this combination kept their cool going in to the jump to leave all the fences standing for the only treble clear of the class in 44.53 seconds.
With the top two taking the direct qualifying tickets for the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final, the combinations in third to fifth took home the chance to compete at the British Showjumping National Championships.
