Horse - NAF 5* Performance Awards

Tuesday 31 July 2012

Whether you’re new to showjumping or have been competing for years, the NAF British Showjumping Five Star Award Programme offers the perfect platform to support your development and give recognition to your efforts.

All of the Training system helps me; especially when training young horses; it makes me think more about my show jumping techniques.

One thing’s for sure - you can never stop learning and as your education increases so will your confidence in the ring, as will that of your horse.

The NAF British Showjumping Five Star Performance Awards programme delivers comprehensive training and a positive structure. With a series of progressive standards, the 5 star award programme provides clear goals and competencies for all levels and abilities to strive for.

Whether you’re new to the sport and want to know more about it, or an experienced amateur rider or full-time professional, each level of award requires you to set out your personal goals and achieve the ridden skills. This encourages good basic riding standards and knowledge of horse care, rules and equitation.

The awards are progressive so it’s important not to miss out on the foundations. This is why riders are asked to complete the written questions in all awards below the level they are taking. This outlines the standards you need to meet at each level and will help to identify your goals.

Signing up for the 5* way of training is straight forward and simple, telephone Sport Team on 02476 698812, one of our team will ensure your personal booklet is sent to you, you will then need to contact one of our Coaches to arrange for your awards to be signed off.

Take your log book to each training session and your coach can sign-off the relevant criteria that you achieve, monitor your progress and discuss the key areas for long term all-round development. Your log book will act as a record of your own personal journey and turn into a wonderful reference of the growing skills and confidence of you and your horse.

They will need to see you demonstrate the criteria, question your understanding of the criteria and you wil need to complete the answers to the questions for the star level which you are taking. You will receieve a certificate and badge as you pass each level, as well as NAF products and merchandise.

For a limited time only British Showjumping are offering free 6 month Membership for achieveing 3 and 4 star levels, and an Annual year free for achieving 5 star level of the award.
