Newark’s Carly Winn aged fourteen secured first place last month at Milton Equestrian Centre in the Schools 70cm League Class

Carly Winn, aged 14 from Newark secured first place last month in the Schools 70cm League Class at Milton Equestrian Centre. Riding for Minster School, Carly and her pony Tia V jumped double clear.
Speaking afterwards about her performance Carly said; “It was our first time at Milton Equestrian Centre and Tia is only five so we did take it steady. There was some tinsel and scary fillers so I’m very proud of how well she went.”
Carly’s mum Nicola commented; “Just for Schools is a great opportunity to get out and about competing at new venues.”
Carly added; “It’s great to represent my school because I feel really involved and like I’m contributing something back.”
The ‘Just for Schools’ League run by British Showjumping offers riders the chance to compete Individually or as a Team in classes ranging from 70cm to 1.10m with the chance to qualify for the Championships.
