Please note: There will be no doubles in the course. Horse and Pony results and prize givings will be separate for club points purposes.
Rules
Eligibility - For any horse/ rider, pony/rider combination without a registered result in National Amateur 90cm, British Novice, Pony British Novice, Stepping Stones and above in the last 3 years.
Competitors can register as Club Members up to 7 days after the competition and regain points won.
Any age rider on ponies (adults eligible to ride ponies). Children can ride horses from the beginning of the calendar year in which the age of 12 is reached (FEI Rules).
At Club Competitions the first round or first phase of the competitions, time faults will not be allocated instead there will be a time limit of 2 minutes, competitors who exceed this will incur elimination.
A7 (amended, first round not timed, where there are insufficient clears to fulfil placings, lower placing will be decided by first round faults, equal faults will share placing)
In these classes points will be allocated as follows for every 1 in 5 starters:
1st – 12 points, 2nd- 10 points, 3rd – 8 points, 4th – 6 points, 5th – 4 points, 6th – 3 points.
3 points will be allocated to all those who achieve double clears, those who are placed will receive an additional 3 points if they have had a double clear regardless of the number of starters.
Faults
Knock down – 4 faults
First refusal – 4 faults
Second refusal (anywhere on the course) – 4 faults
Third refusal (anywhere on the course) – Elimination
Fall (anywhere on the course) – Elimination
All other faults as per British Showjumping rule book.
Event Regulations & Conditions of Entry
1. All classes to be run under British Showjumping Rules.
2. All entries on the day of competition.
3. Skull caps to standard PAS105 or BN 1384.
4. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
5. The organiser reserves the right to cancel any entries or classes and to change the programme at their discretion.
6. Any competitor will be disqualified for dangerous riding or misuse of whips or spurs.
7. The judges decision is final.
8. Objections must be lodged with the secretary with a £20 deposit (refundable if proven) within 15 minutes of the class closing.
9. All entry fees are non refundable.
10. The organisers, or anyone acting on their behalf, shall not be liable for any accident, damage, theft or injury to persons attending the event or to animals or property however caused. All persons competing do so entirely at their own risk.
The submission of an entry will be deemed to include acceptance of these conditions.
British Show Jumping Club Membership
· £30 online, £35 via British Show Jumping Office – combined horse and rider membership.
· For any horse rider combination without a registered result at Amateur 90cm, British Novice and above in the last 3 years.
· 8 Regional Leagues (Scotland, Northern, East Midlands, West Midlands, Wales, East, South East, South West)
· Classes and Regional Leagues at 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, 1.00m.
· Horses and Ponies to have separate leagues – separate Regional Leagues (8 Regions)
· Annual Regional Championships
· Leagues to run from June – May 31st each year.
· Double clear classes can also be run with double clears coming equal 1st with 6 points.
· All results to be graded – full competition record.
· Club Membership includes two “National Tickets to Ride” allowing them to compete in two National classes per year to encourage progression to National Membership.
· Horse/ pony can be registered with more than one Club member – results based on horse-rider combination.
· Club horse/pony can be registered as a National horse/pony simultaneously (providing they meet eligibility criteria).
· Club Rider can be registered as a National Member simultaneously (providing they meet eligibility criteria).
· Horse/pony can only compete once in any class
· No stallions
