Dodson & Horrell 95cm and 1.10m National Amateur Second Rounds at Alnwick Ford Equestrian Centre

Holly Gair dominated both Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Second Round qualifiers at Alnwick Ford Equestrian Centre in Longframlington, Northumberland, taking victory in both classes to ensure qualification for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool on 13 – 18 November

Dodson & Horrell 95cm National Amateur Second Round

Holly from Birtley, Co. Durham convincingly took the one-two in the Dodson & Horrell 95cm National Amateur Second Round with Bowes Milky Way and Usita Champ. 

Only five competitors made it through Keith McVittie’s ten-fence first round and it was Holly who put her foot down on both of her rides beating her nearest rival by ten seconds. Holly piloted Wendy Gair’s Bowes Milky Way, a 21-Year-Old grey mare, to victory narrowly beating her second ride Usita Champ, a 17-Year-Old grey mare owned by Stephen Gair, by 0.3 seconds.

5 Sally Kingsley & Gem Twiste - 0/8 - 36.95 seconds

Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round

Three competitors made it through the Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round first round to contend in the jump-off, but Holly nevertheless again claimed the top spot. 

On this occasion she rode Stephen Gair’s 18-year-old grey gelding Bowes Calvaro into to the winners spot in a time of 35.00 seconds. Helen Hogg and Easy Tiger 3 came in a close second place posting a double clear in 36.05 seconds. Helen also took third place with Jupistar Van T Langbos.
