National Inter  Academy Team Event

NATIONAL INTER ACADEMY TEAM EVENT

Incorporating the British Showjumping Pony 5* Style for Performance final

ALSO INCLUDING British Showjumping Classes on both days

Team Competition Format;

Each day will consist of 5 team competitions and an individual competition in each category. The result of the team and the individual competitions will be decided on the second day after all competitors in each section have jumped. (Please see detailed competition rules).

British Showjumping Pony 5* Style for Performance final

Tuesday 18th August 2015 Starting at 13.00 hrs

 Riders can compete in the 1 star, 2 star or the 3 star section of this event.

On entering the arena you will complete a pre designed course of your star level. Copies of this can be obtained after the 27th July from Rebecca.Turner@britishshowjumping.co.uk

There will be 2 judges and their scores will be added to together to achieve a result.

Trophies and Rugs to the winner of each section.

Rosettes to 6th place in both sections. Prizes in kind donated by NAF.

The team competitions; RING ONE

Class 1; the minis

Each team will consist of 4 registered ponies of any grade. The height of the fences; 70 cms day 1, 80 cm day 2.  There will be no doubles or combinations in this class.  Table A speed 325mpm.

Registered Ponies not to exceed 148cms, riders 16yrs and below therefore junior members.  Pony and rider combinations not to have competed in a National Final of 1.00 metre and above in any category from 2014.

Each pony will jump one round on each day.

Class 1a; the individual minis.

Each individual rider will jump one round on each day. Criteria as above.

Class 2; the maxis

Each team will consist of 4 registered ponies of any grade. The height of the fences; 90cms day 1 and 1.00m day 2.  Table A speed 325mpm.

Registered Ponies not to exceed 148cms, riders 16yrs and below therefore junior members

Each pony will jump one round on each day.

Class 2a; the individual maxis.

Each individual rider will jump one round on each day. Criteria as above.

 

Class 3 the mature maxis

Each team will consist of 4 registered ponies of any grade. The height of the fences; 1.05 on day 1 and 1.15 on day 2.  Table A speed 325mpm.

Registered Ponies not to exceed 148cms, riders 16yrs and below therefore junior members

Each pony will jump one round on each day.

 

Class 3a; the individual mature maxis.

Each individual rider will jump one round on each day. Criteria as above.

 

Class 4; the little grownups.

Each team will consist of 4 registered horses of any grade to be ridden by junior, associate or full members who are 21 years or under. The height of the fences; 90cm on day 1 and 1.00 on day 2. Horse and rider combination not to have jumped 1.20 or above.  Table A speed 325mpm

Each horse will jump one round on each day.

Class 4a; the individual little grownups.

Each individual rider will jump one round on each day. Criteria as above.

 

Class 5; the big grownups.

Each team will consist of 4 registered horses of any grade to be ridden by junior, associate or full members who are 21 years or under. The height of the fences; 1.15 on day 1 and 1.20 on day 2. Table A speed 325mpm

Each horse will jump one round on each day.

Class 5a; the individual big grownups.

Each individual rider will jump one round on each day. Criteria as above.

 

ALL WINNING TEAMS AND INDIVIDUALS WILL RECEIVE PRIZES IN KIND.

Class 6 Wednesday and Class 11 Thursday

70 cms Single Phase, single fences pony open. Open to ponies and riders registered with British Showjumping. Speed 325m per minute.

Prize money; £20, £15, £12, £10, £8.

Class 7 Wednesday and Class 12 Thursday

80 cms Single Phase, single fences pony open. Open to ponies and riders registered with British Showjumping. Speed 325m per minute.

Class 8 Wednesday and Class 13 Thursday

90 cms Single Phase, single fences pony open. Open to ponies and riders registered with British Showjumping. Speed 325m per minute.

Class 9 Wednesday and Class 14 Thursday

90 cms Single Phase Open.  Open to horses and riders registered with British Showjumping. Speed 350m per minute.

Class 10 Wednesday and Class 15 Thursday

1.10 cms Single Phase Open.  Open to horses and riders registered with British Showjumping. Speed 350m per minute.

THE SMALL PRINT.

TEAM RULES;

  • EACH TEAM CONSISTS OF 4 REGISTERED PONIES OR 4 REGISTERED HORSES.
  • THE BEST 3 SCORES ON EACH TEAM ROUND WILL COUNT TOWARDS A TEAM SCORE. HOWEVER ALL FOUR TEAM MEMBERS WILL JUMP TO GIVE THEM AN INDIVIDUAL SCORE. 3 PONIES OR HORSES MUST JUMP TO PRODUCE A TEAM SCORE.
  • THE TEAM SCORES FOR EACH DAY WILL BE ADDED TOGETHER TO PRODUCE A RESULT.
  • IF ANY OF THE TEAMS ARE EQUAL AFTER 2 ROUNDS OF JUMPING A JUMP OFF WILL TAKE PLACE OVER A SHORTENED COURSE. ONE TEAM MEMBER WILL JUMP OFF FOR THE TEAM. A TEAM MEMBER CAN ONLY JUMP OFF ONCE DURING THE WHOLE DAYS COMPETITION TO ALLOW FAIRNESS.
  • EACH ACADEMY SHOULD NOMINATE A POINT OF CONTACT FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE TEAM EVENT. THIS IS THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE RIDERS.
  • EACH ACADEMY WILL BE GUARANTEED 2 ENTRIES IN EACH TEAM CLASS. HOWEVER IF ENTRIES PERMIT EXTRA TEAMS MAY BE ENTERED.
  • HORSES AND PONIES MAY ONLY COMPETE IN ONE TEAM IN ONE CATEGORY.
  • RIDERS MAY ONLY COMPETE IN ONE TEAM IN EACH CATEGORY.
  • SHOULD A SITUATION FOR SUBSTITUTION ARISE AN INDIVIDUAL RIDER MAY BE SUBSTITUTED INTO A TEAM AT THE DISCRETION OF THE ORGANISERS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE FIRST ROUND THE TEAM COMPETITION. ONCE THE TEAM HAS JUMPED THE FIRST ROUND NO SUBSTITUTION CAN BE MADE.

 

INDIVIDUAL RULES;

  • ALL PONIES AND HORSES SCORES WILL COUNT TOWARDS AN INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION
  • THE INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION WILL FOLLOW THE SAME FORMAT AS THE TEAM COMPETITION WITH ONE ROUND JUMPED ON EACH DAY.
  • IF A PONY / HORSE JUMPS IN A TEAM THAT IS THE SCORE THAT WILL COUNT TOWARDS THE INDIVIDUAL RESULT.
  • IF THERE IS EQUALITY IN FAULTS AFTER THE SECOND ROUND ON THE SECOND DAY A JUMP OFF WILL TAKE PLACE OVER A SHORTENED COURSE WITH ALL DOUBLE CLEARS JUMPING OFF FOR AN INDIVIDUAL TITLE.
  • EACH PONY OR HORSE WILL ONLY JUMP OFF ONCE. THE TEAM PONIES AND HORSES WILL HAVE THEIR JUMP OFF TIMES FOR THEIR TEAM SCORE RECORDED AS AN INDIVIDUAL SCORE.
  • ACADEMIES MAY ONLY ENTER 1 INDIVIDUAL PER TEAM.

GENERAL RULES;

  • CORRECT BS RIDING KIT MUST BE WORN WHEN COMPETING.
  • HARD HATS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.
  • RIDERS WILL BE CORRECTLY DRESSED WHEN WALKING THE COURSE.
  • ALL BS RULES WILL APPLY DURING THIS COMPETITION.
  • THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES IN ALL MATTERS IS FINAL.

Entry Fee per team; £120.00

Entry Fee per individual £ 30.00

Please submit all names of your riders, horses and ponies to the show secretary. Please make sure to put which class you are entering on your email.

Stabling: STABLING MUST BE BOOKED DIRECTLY WITH WESTON LAWNS BY THE 10TH AUGUST 2015. NO STABLING WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER THIS DATE. WESTON LAWNS WILL STRICTLY ADHERE TO THIS RULE. THE ORGANISERS WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY STABLING BOOKINGS.
