Pat Osborn - 50 Years in British Showjumping
Thursday 23 July 2015
The death occurred recently at the age of 83 of Pat Osborn, the British Showjumping Area Representative for the Isle of Man. Pat had held the post for almost 50 years. Pat had been a talented and successful competitor in her own right in her earlier life and had then turned to putting her efforts into promoting the sport. In addition to her role as Area Representative, Pat was an experienced judge and course designer, roles that she carried out in the UK as well as the Isle of Man. Pat was also a successful breeder and owner of competition horses that she regularly travelled to compete at shows in the UK. Pat was running affiliated shows at her equestrian centre Conrhenny, right up until her death. Pat worked tirelessly for show jumping in the Isle of Man providing local competitors with the opportunity to travel and compete in the UK. She will be sadly missed both by the show jumping community in the Isle of Man and her wide circle of friends in the UK.
