Scarlett and Bustino are flying high!!
Friday 26 October 2012
21 year old Scarlett Ward from Beverley has made a successful return to Yorkshire after two years working in Europe. With her British Bred gelding Bustino (x Marius Claudius) she started her campaign by jumping triple clear in the National 6 year old qualifier at the Hand Equestrian Centre in June. She followed that up with qualification for the Newcomers Masters Final and a brilliant 5th place in the British Bred 6 year old final at Addington Young Horse Show in August.
Having made such an impression the combination was selected to compete at the World Young Horse Championships in Lanaken, Belgium in September. Over the winter Scarlett plans to have some training with Olympic Gold Medallist Ben Maher. After a short break Bustino, who is on the Equine Pathway programme, will be aimed at the Winter Grade C qualifiers, next year’s Newcomers and Foxhunter second rounds and International 7 year old classes.
