Alnwick Ford RHS Andrew Hamilton novice horse qualifier

ALNWICK FORD EC, in Northumberland, held the first of 2018's Royal Highland Show qualifiers for the Andrew Hamilton novice horse championship where the first two qualified for the final at Ingliston in June.
Leading the Andrew Hamilton novice horse qualifier was Sandy McLean with Zandeur Clover.
From 11 starters only three riders jumped a first round clear over Neil Foster's track. Sandy was a clear winner, coming home more than eight seconds in front of Helena Leal Pedrosa and Valencia III.
Centre owner Martyn Johnson picked up four faults chasing, dropping to third with Patrickswall Scorpian.
