Graham Babes scores a grand prix double at Bonheiden
Monday 02 October 2017
SCOTTISH rider Graham Babes hit form on the final day at Bonheiden when lifting the six-year-old grand prix on Glencoe and the main 2* grand prix on Boucheron.
Thirteen of the 32 starters jumped the first round clears to reach the jump-off, but Graham could not be beaten with the 11-year-old Valentino DDH/Burggraaf Boucheron in a hot jump-off, to take victory by just 0.05 of a sec.
Four faults in round one put Mark Turnbull out of contention with Cartouch III to finish 19th.
In the six-year-old final, Graham was a clear winner to lift the top spot with the Chellthago Z/Numero Uno gelding Glencoe.
