Seventeen year-old Elinor Macdonald from Invergordon, Ross-Shire secured her place in both the Dodson & Horrell 1.05m & 1.10m National Amateur Championships last weekend at The Cabin Equestrian Centre in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
The Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships take place next month (18th-22nd November) at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool.
Elinor finished second in the Dodson & Horrell 1.05m second round with her own 8 year-old dapple grey gelding Hunter of Beauty. This combination was unfortunate to pick up 4 faults at the first fence of the jump off, but they clocked up a good time of 40.22 seconds
Then improving on her result from the previous day Elinor secured the win in the Dodson & Horrell 1.10m second round after achieving the sought after double clear result in just 53.94 seconds again competing on Hunter of Beauty.
