Scottish Junior Ball 2016

The first Scottish Junior Ball was held on Friday 11th November 2016 at Airth Castle, Stirlingshire.

With over 170 people attending, the evening was a fantastic success. The event was organised to recognise the achievements of all children competing in Showjumping competitions in Scotland at all levels.

A massive thank you to the Scottish Pony Parent Committee for all their hard work in organising this prestigious first time event, the sponsors who donated the most fabulous prizes and trophies, Douglas Duffin for presenting the awards, and everyone involved in the smooth running of the event on the night.

The evening started with a welcome drink, followed by a delicious meal with separate meals for the children and then the awards. It was fabulous to see all the smiles on the childrens faces as they were called to receive their prizes and the dresses were fabulous. A raffle and auction followed on from this with some amazing prizes donated and the ultimate auction prize of spending time on Scott Brash’s yard gained a whopping £1000 towards the funds raised.

The evening then progressed into the disco and a great opportunity for photos in Sinclair Photography’s photo booth. The night ended with everyone dancing and having a great time. With a super deal on the rooms at the hotel many of the party goers were able to make a very short journey to their beds after a very successful evening.

All funds raised from the evening will go into the Scottish Pony Parent Account and be used for future events to benefit the Scottish children.
