Berkshire Team Qualify for The National Championships at Stoneleigh

Last Saturday saw the Southern Regional Qualifier for The National Show Jumping Team Championships take place at Wales and West, David Broome Showground in Chepstow. Teams from all over the south competed for one of just two places for the National Show Jumping Team Championships to find the best county team in the UK.

 

The Team comprising of four local based Show Jumpers Hollie Pearce (Hilarius) and Charlie Duncan (Romero-S) of Gleniffer Stables, Hawthorn Hill and Kerry Grimster (Moonlight) and Lilibet Toomey (Skyline) of Wayside stables, Fifield all rode 2 faultless rounds each, not having a single pole between them to secure a place in a nail biting jump-off against 5 other teams who made it through the first round, for one of the top two qualifying spaces.

 

Kerry Grimster jumped off for the team and a quick clear from her secured the qualifying place. The Team will now represent Berkshire and BS Area 38 at The National Show Jumping Championships to be held in August in Stoneleigh Warwickshire where the team will be vying to win the title of National UK Team Champions 2015.
