Due to the fact that this year’s Area Show clashes with Addington Manor, it has been decided to run on the Saturday and Sunday only, 20th – 21st August at Felbridge Showground.   Junior classes will be held on the Saturday and Senior classes on the Sunday; at the time of writing classes have not been finalised.

To compensate for the loss of more advanced classes at the Area show, it has been decided to run the Sussex Area Open Championship Series. The series will consist of 4 x 1.30m opens, to be held at four Sussex show centres – firstly at the Premier Show at Golden Cross in May, with dates at to be confirmed at Royal Leisure Centre, Pyecombe and Felbridge Showground.   These classes will be integrated with the 1.30 Scope qualifiers and will therefore have a first prize in each class of £150.00.  However points will be awarded for places and the horse/rider combination at the end of the series with the most accumulated points will be presented with a further cheque for £250, The Eileen Baker Sussex Area Open Champion trophy and a Sussex rug.
