Tim Davies takes the win in front of a home crowd

Yesterday saw the second British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway take placed at the Suffolk County Show. With temperatures well into the twenties crowds flocked in to watch the top class Showjumping that was on offer.

Course Designer Kelvin Bywater had the job of building a course worthy of its title. With only four combinations managing to jump a first round clear he had done a good job in separating the field.

It was Tim Davies from Suffolk that managed to fight off the rest of the field by jumping a double clear in what proved to be an unbeatable time of 64.32 seconds. Tim partnered Barrett Watson’s nine year old bay gelding Valentijn O, a horse Tim has produced through the ranks. Tim was also awarded the leading rider award, due to his overall performance throughout the show.

Second place went to Oxfordshire based Tina Fletcher riding Lady Pauline Harris’ twelve year old chestnut gelding Hello Sailor. The pair jumped with ease round the 1.60m course and finished on a score of zero in a time of 68.66 seconds.
