This one day workshop will work on pole and jumping exercises to attain and maintain straightness in your horses way of going, using the German scales of training as a guide.  Straightness and the elements leading to it are a major factor in achieving the maximum power in your horse’s jump, your ability to ride a line, perform balanced turns and ongoing soundness.

A good opportunity to revisit the basic foundations ready for the season ahead. It will be suitable for riders jumping 90cm & up, and will be grouped according to ability.

This day works as a good warm up to the Rider Analysis clinic on Saturday 16th, which will look at how rider straightness can influence your ride.

The two ridden sessions, one unmounted. Light lunch.   £70.00.

Rider Position Analysis – Saturday 16th January 2016. With   Russell Guire of Centaur Biomechanics

The way the rider sits on the horse will have a dramatic effect on its soundness, performance and development. This rider analysis session is designed for riders of all levels to help improve the rider's position and horse's way of going. Russell, who carries out the analysis, is a keen rider himself and has worked all over the world helping riders improve their position and horse's performance. Russell's passion and easy going character will put you at ease and ensure you get the best possible results out of the session.

Within the session Russell will:

  •       Evaluate your position on your own horse
  •       Work on exercises to help improve your position and horse’s way of going
  •       Use instant video feedback and the latest software so that you can see the difference
