Academies to compete at Devon County

 

Westexe Forklifts Ltd British Showjumping South West Junior Academy Inter-County Pony Team Jumping
 
New to our Academies this year is an exciting competition for young amateur riders who will get a chance to appear in the main ring at a major show. British Showjumping is bringing its South West Junior Academy to the Devon County Show. There will be four teams each comprising of four young riders from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. The event is sponsored by Westexe Forklifts Ltd.’
 
The riders involved and British Showjumping are thrilled to be part of this exciting initiative and are looking forward to being part of this year’s Devon County Show.
 
One Academy team will be invited from Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. Teams will consist of 4 Registered Ponies to be ridden by Pony or Pony Associate Academy Members.
 
The class will take place on Saturday May 18th and will run under:
Table A. Speed - 325mpm. Fences will be 1metre approx. The best three scores per team will count. In the event of equality after the first round a pre-nominated team member will jump off against the clock. In the event of a team having insufficient finishers due to more than one competitor being eliminated the team score will be calculated by awarding the competitor(s) the worst score plus 20 penalties.
 
Selection and entries will be managed through the appropriate academy.
