Applications close this Friday for the British Showjumping Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE)

Since its launch in 2013, the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) has been hugely successful in developing and preparing talented young athletes (age 16-19) who have a real chance of excelling in their sport and competing on the international stage. Many previous students have gone on to compete for Great Britain internationally both at Youth and Senior Level.

This Level 3 programme offers selected talented riders the chance to improve their skills whilst learning how to manage all aspects of life as a professional in showjumping. Riders will have the chance to continue their education in a relevant and inspiring environment, and benefit from training with showjumping’s top coaches.

The programme is delivered over six two day camps throughout the year. During this the students are working towards a nationally recognised qualification; Level 3 Certificates in Achieving Excellence in and Understanding Sports Performance. AASE covers essential units that aim to support the elite athlete in their career including: Technical, Tactical, Physical, Mental, Career and Communications.
