Bex Mason wins the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at Weston Lawns

Weston Lawns Equitation Centre in Bulkington, Warwickshire held one of this seasons Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round on Monday and it was Bex Mason who claimed the win.

With two direct qualifying tickets on offer for the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show in October and a starting field of eighty-two combinations course designer Stephen Williams had to set a challenging track to reduce the numbers for the final round.

Bex Mason from Stroud, Gloucestershire utilised every turn available to steer Team Crows Nest’s Vancurtis, a 7 year-old British bred mare by Vangelis S, to the win with 3.00 seconds to spare, crossing the finish in 36.73 seconds. Guy Williams had to settle for second with last year’s senior Newcomers Champion Chilli, a 7 year-old German bred owned by Thomas Williams. They posted three immaculate clears but couldn’t outpace the winner, crossing the line in 39.73 seconds.

Will Fletcher piloted Tessa Bremner’s Memphis V/D Vaart into third place posting a time of 44.88 seconds. Dani Cuomo took fourth with her own Quality Street III whilst fifth place went to the fastest four-faulter Caroline March and her own Postmaster.

The top two combinations secured their place in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show and the top five took home the chance to compete in the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Masters at the British Showjumping National Championships.
