Plus in the inaugural Bronze and silver league final we also have:
Fiona Hobby-Wiltshire,
James Johnson, who is 25 and lives in Devon, he rides full time for Marion Clark and both are very excited to be going to HOYS for the first time. It made the 5 and half hour journey to Keysoe worth it!  Zucchini is a homebred 10yr old bay mare by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve which makes it all extra special! We also have her daughter who is out competing in Newcomers and Foxhunter classes. She is a horse of a life time!
And
Gemma Hallett from Somerset with Sparkling Indulgence aka Steele  a 13 year old, Irish sports horse. Although 13, he only started jumping properly last may (he did half a season as a pony a few years ago) but wouldn't measure. In the last year he's won £1600, qualified for no less than 10 scope/blue chip classes, and this summer won the silver league regional at Bicton, before finishing 7th in a strong class at Keysoe. This was the first time I've really gone for it on him as he's naturally quick and I've never had to push. He was also 3rd in the national discovery final at scope this year too :) he's developing quite the fan base as the mighty midget amongst all the flashy warmbloods! We still get funny looks in the warm up and a few times have even been asked to work in the correct pony warm up!!
I have been riding properly since the age of 9, though didn't start British showjumping until I was 13. My first trip to HOYS was with my other horse 'Wake Up' in 2008, where we won the first running of the Amateur Classic. As somebody who has never been on the circuit, and at the time had just the one horse, we treated the occasion like a once in a lifetime opportunity, so to get there again - this time with a horse belonging to an owner (Sarah Franklin) is just as exciting!
On my hoys win I decided to go into horses full time, and after a couple of years head girl at a yard, I gained my UKCC level 2 and set up my own teaching, competing and schooling business. Though in the middle of this, in 2010, I had a nasty fall off a youngster and completely shattered my right tibia and fibula. I have had 4 operations so far, and am due to have a further one just 2 weeks post hoys this year! At one point my confidence in my riding ability hit rock bottom, and the pain is often so bad I can't walk after a long day, so to meet Sarah and have her entrust all her faith and her horses in me has been a real boost, and I owe a lot to both her and my parents who have been an amazing support.
Good Luck to one and all !!!!!
