Club classes enjoy huge crowds & TV coverage at RWAS!

Competitors in the British Showjumping Club Classes found themselves jumping in the main arena at the Royal Welsh Showground, in front of the thousands who flocked to the RWAS Spring Festival.

The day was blessed with excellent weather, which not only brought out the crowds, but also made for superb jumping conditions.

With so many other attractions all over the show-ground, it was testament to the sport that the jumping kept the attention of so many, who packed the main stands as the competition unfolded. The S4C camera team, who were compiling a programme to be aired shortly, were also drawn to proceedings – and no doubt competitors will look forward to spotting themselves when the footage is shown!

British Showjumping Regional Development Officer Chris Shaw said, “it was great to be here at the Spring Festival and for the sport – and Club Classes – to enjoy such a “shop window” in front of a big crowd” “I would like to thank Wayne Rees, Emma Slater and Amanda Burton for all their hard work and co-operation in making this possible”.

The Wales and West Midlands Regional Club Championships take place at Allens Hill Equestrian at the end of August and no doubt all those who qualified from the RWAS Spring Festival will be keen to compete.
