Ava Vernon and Here I Am B crowned National 1.30m Open Champions

Seventeen year-old Ava Vernon from Skegness, Lincolnshire fought off forty-five other challengers to take the National 1.30m Open Championship title on Here I Am B at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping National Championships at Bolesworth.
On board Here Am I B, an 8 year-old bay gelding owned by Dean Vernon, Ava headed the nine horse jump off when she delivered a speedy double clear in 37.72 seconds.
Ava took victory by the narrowest of margins over second placed Angie Thompson from Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire. Angie secured a double clear in 37.73 seconds with Bayard IV, a 14 year-old bay gelding owned by Melanie Davies.
Faye Adams from Halesowen in the West Midlands rounded off a successful week with her National Winter 1.35m Champion, the 12 year-old dark brown gelding Demograaf. The pair took third in this Championship after jumping double clear in 39.17 seconds.
