BOLESWORTH GEARS UP FOR YOUNG HORSE CHAMPIONSHIPS BY PRESENTING THE AL SHIRA’AA SUMMER SERIES

There is an air of excitement in the equestrian world as the sport begins to resume under the new government and British Showjumping guidelines. Plans for the Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships (19th to 23rd August), and the Bolesworth Elite Foal Auction (21st August) are taking shape, with the necessary precautions being put in place to enable the event to run in line with social distancing guidelines.

As the sport has been on pause for three months it’s important that horses are able to readjust to a competing environment. That is why the team at Bolesworth,  have been working with their partners Al Shira’aa, to create a series of summer training shows to aid the preparation of horses for both national and international competition, as well as the forth coming Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships.

The Al Shira’aa Summer Series training shows will take place on:
• Monday 21st & Tuesday 22nd June
• Monday 29th & Tuesday 30th June
• Tuesday 14th July (subject to demand)
• Tuesday 28th July (subject to demand)
• Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August

Shows between the 21st June and 14th July will run in the Castle Arena only with classes at 1m, 1.10m, 1.20m and 1.30m. This ensures that we can facilitate the maximum amount of warm up space and allow riders ample space to warm up whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines.

From 28th July they will be utilising both the International & Castle Arena with classes at 1m, 1.10m, 1.20m, 1.30m and 1.40m. In addition, there will be specific 4yo, 5yo, 6yo and 7yo classes held in the International Arena to facilitate arena familiarisation for those horses attending the Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Young Horse Championships in August. Further information on how to enter and guidelines that will be in place can viewed at www.bolesworthyounghorse.com.

Said Nina Barbour, Bolesworth Managing Director: “Here at Bolesworth we understand riders needs and want to provide the opportunity for riders to get their horses competition ready as soon as possible. Some European countries have been up and running training shows for several weeks now and we don’t want to leave British riders on the back foot.”

Said Mohamed Al Owais Director of Al Shira’aa Farms: “We are thoroughly looking forward to competing at the shows and being a part of the Al Shira’aa Bolesworth Summer Series and Young Horse Championships. Like many owners and breeders, we also have the determination and vision to qualify our horses for Lanaken at a fantastic venue”

Can’t wait for the action? Don’t forget to register to bid for the Bolesworth Elite Online Yearling Auction taking place on Tuesday 30th June 2020, with bidding live from Friday 26th June. With headline lots including direct progeny from top Grand Prix mares Loughview Loulou and Tinka’s Serenade, and a half Brother to Scott Brash’s Hello Sanctos, it promises to be one of their most spectacular line ups to date.
