Carmarthen rider Megan Griffiths jumps ahead in British Showjumping’s Welsh Senior Club League Table

Leading by 17 points, Carmarthen based Megan Griffiths riding Y O Me, her ex-racehorse, tops the 70cm Welsh Region Senior Club League. The British Showjumping Club League offers riders the opportunity to compete in class heights of 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1.00m with an aim of qualifying for the British Showjumping National Championships, which take place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire later on this summer.

Megan has owned Y O Me for two years and became a British Showjumping member in November last year. Building on their current success in the league and looking forward to the remaining season, Megan explained; “It’s been an excellent way to get back into jumping and gives us something to aim for”.

The pair are also joint leaders in the 80cm League and to qualify for the Championships for both the 70cm League and the 80cm they need to stay within the top twenty riders. They will then receive an invitation to join the top twenty from each of the other seven regions to compete at the prestigious British Showjumping National Championships.
