Retraining of Racehorses

Retraining of Racehorses Championship and Cash Recognition Awards

If you own or ride a former racehorse there are a couple of options available to you that are specifically designed to acknowledge and recognise horses who have switched their career from a racing one to Showjumping.

Retraining of Racehorses Club Championship for horses jumping 0.70m – 1.00m
This new Championship class will take place at the British Showjumping National Championships, National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire (11th – 16th August 2015). To be eligible, you need to be a Club Member, which is just £30 for both you and your horse. Invitations to the final will be extended to the top thirty horse/rider combinations registered with Retraining of Racehorses on the British Showjumping Club Leagues and further information on the League can be found here.

Cash Recognition Awards
For horses competing in National classes, there are six cash recognition awards up for grabs and these are given to the horses who have achieved the highest number of points during a set twelve months. The awards are broken down as £2,500 to 1st place with five further awards of £500 each.
