SportsAid 2010/11 nominations

Nominations for SportsAid 2010/11 open on Monday 1st November, remaining open until Sunday 14th November. Riders are nominated by their respective Member Bodies and therefore should not apply directly.

This year sees, for the first time, nominations invited from Scotland and Wales, as well as England.

The nomination process occurs with disciplines (showjumping, dressage, para-equestrian dressage and eventing), approaching relevant key personal such as team coaches, Chef d’Equipe’s and selectors, to nominate individuals they feel would be suitable for the award. Nominated riders will then be sent a letter inviting them to apply.

SportsAid is a charity that financially supports talented sports people to help them achieve sporting success. In 2009/10 SportsAid supported over 25 riders through both the SportsAid and TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) schemes, to the value of £20,000. The grants are used to benefit riders in a variety of ways, including rider and horse equipment, competition entry fees and training.
