Chloe Reynolds wins the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Rectory Farm

Chloe Reynolds travelled from Chard in Somerset to commandingly claim the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Rectory Farm in Gloucestershire on Saturday.

From a bumper field of sixty-five, a healthy thirty-two combinations jumped double clears to go through to the jump-off, where each and every rider had their sights set on gaining a treble clear that would give them a sought after qualification place for the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Final held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August.

It was eighth drawn Chloe riding Jane Reynolds 5 year-old bay gelding Grenadier Volo who held her lead despite several challenges. This combination really worked together as Grenadier Volo answered Chloe’s every call to finish with 1.24 seconds in hand, posting a treble clear in 35.48 seconds.

Last week victor Rosie Gun from Orston, Nottingham managed to keep Chloe on the edge of her seat as she was drawn 24th riding her own 5 year-old liver chestnut gelding, Jagerbomb. This pair took second place and a qualification place in a time of 36.72 seconds.

Third place went to Laura-Paige Millard from Kidderminster, Worcestershire on-board her 16 year-old chestnut gelding, Harlequin Diamond. This combination crossed the finish line in 40.06 seconds.

Leanne Turner-Stephenson eased the 6 year-old mare Fridaynight Du Vlist into fourth and Rosie's sister Steph took fifth on Lady Larino, an 8-year-old also qualified for the British novice final after taking second in the second round at Houghton Hall.
