Stewards
- Stewards
- Stewards are British Showjumping trained officials appointed to represent British Showjumping at affiliated competitions. Stewards ensure that competitions run in accordance with British Showjumping Rules and Regulations, as well as encouraging Good Practice. Acting as the Disciplinary Steward at competitions will also be part of the role. This role includes investigating reports and making a decision on complaints, queries or appeals.
- Whilst at competitions, Stewards will act as the primary point of contact for British Showjumping members, dealing with enquiries, whilst aiming to create a safe, fair and welcoming environment at Showjumping competitions.
-
This role will involve attending British Showjumping Competitions, being available as the first point of contact for Members, answering queries, interpreting Rules and being on hand to lend support to other Officials and Show Organising teams.
Stewards will work closely with British Showjumping staff and will be recruited across the country, with several working in each Region. This is a great way of putting something back into the sport – and to contribute to its ongoing development.
