MARK ARMSTRONG LEADING RIDER IN LIEGE

Mark Armstrong from Bordon in Hampshire took the Leading Rider Title at CSI Liege Herstal in Belgium over the weekend.
 
Taking victory in the opening Speed competition and fifth place in the Young Horse Final, Mark then clinched the title by finishing in second place in yesterday’s Grand Prix.
 
Jumping one of six double clears of the competition, Mark aboard the thirteen year-old bay mare Thesaura, a horse he co-owns with his wife Emma, took runner up spot in the Grand Prix behind Brazilian rider Pedro Veniss. Peter Charles riding Team Murka, Olga White and Mikhail Muratov’s Rubert R, finished in third place.
