Laura Renwick has a Roller Coaster of a ride

Laura Renwick from Maldon, Essex made the trip out to Italy last week for the Follonica CSI2* International show. Throughout the week riders had been preparing their horse for the Grand Prix which took place on the last day, Sunday.

Laura partnered John and Marian Renwick’s ten year old dark bay gelding Roller Coaster III, a horse Laura has been producing for a number of years now. The pair showed their class and jumped with ease round the 1.45m course in a time of 40.06 seconds. Unfortunately this time was not quite good enough for first place and Laura was beaten by Tim Hoster from Germany, with less than 0.1 of a second between them. Laura finished in second place taking her share of the €25,000 prize fund.

In recent years Laura has been concentrating on producing a string of young horses which she has brought up through the grades. She is currently one of British Showjumping’s leading riders as a result of her ongoing success across both the National and International competition circuit.
