Megan Whitman wins the Horseware Bronze League Qualifier at Wales & West Shows

Megan Whitman took the top spot in the Horseware Bronze League Qualifier on Saturday at Wales & West Shows in Chepstow, Monmouthshire after delivering three immaculate rounds of showjumping.

Each of the eighty-eight starters were jumping with the aim of claiming one of the three qualification spots available for the Horseware Bronze League Semi Finals, which will run in August. After the first two rounds, twenty-five remained in contention and they moved forward to the final jump off.

Megan, who is based in Bewdley, Worcestershire, secured the win on Zagy, a 14 year-old bay gelding owned by Pamela Whitman. Having first produced two accurate rounds, Megan and Zagy went into the jump off determined to deliver a treble clear and they duly achieved this in 33.56 seconds, a result that proved good enough for first place.
