CSI1* - 5*; Senior international show where a rider competes as an individual on a self-funded bases. 1* - 5* categorisation is based on the level of prize money available and height of fences. CSIO; Senior Nations Cup Show - has an official Team competition.
CSI-W; Show which holds a World Cup Qualifier
CSI-V; Veteran riders show. Riders from the year in which they reach their 45th birthday (both Ladies and Gentlemen). Veteran riders must not have participated in any competition where the first round exceeds 1.35m in the current year.
CSIY/CSIOYR; Shows for Young Riders. A Person may compete as a Young Rider from the beginning of the calendar year in which he reaches the age of 16 until the end of the calendar year in which he reaches the age of 21. CSIOYR is a Young Rider Nations Cup Show which has an official Team competition.
CSIJ/CSIOJ; Shows for Juniors. A person may compete as a Junior from the beginning of the calendar year in which he reaches the age of 14 until the end of the year in which he reaches the age of 18. CSIOJ is a Junior Nations Cup Show that holds an official Team competition. Please be aware that under FEI Rules only Juniors having reached their sixteenth birthday are authorised to participate in the Grand Prix at CSI-1* and CSI-2* events.
CSICh/CSIOCh; Shows for Children riding horses. A child may compete in these compeitions from the start of the year in which they reach 12 years of age until the end of the year in which they reach 14 years of age. CSIOCh is a Childrens Nations Cup Show that holds an official Team competition.
CSIP/CSIOP; Shows for Ponies. A person may compete as a Pony competitor from the beginning of the calendar year in which he reaches the age of 12 until the end of the year in which he reaches the age of 16. CSIOP is a Pony Nations Cup Show which has an official Team competition.
