Northants/Cambs Academy Coordinator

Sadly our Northants/Cambs academy coordinator, Alison Tee has decided to step down from her position. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ali for all her hard work and tremendous support over the years.  We are pleased that Ali will remain as Northants Area Representative and is currently working on team selections for the senior team qualifier.

We are now taking applications for the role of Northants/Cambs Academy coordinator.  Please note that applicants must reside in Northants or Cambs and must be over 18 years old.

Academy Coordinator Key Tasks:

  • To assist Lead Coach with the academy coaching sessions, ensuring all members are aware of the dates, venue and times of sessions.
  • Ensure all emergency contact details and medical information is easily accessible at all times.
  • Ensure contact is made with each parent on behalf of the child with regards to training when the child is under 18.
  • Assist the coach in the preparation of coaching sessions in advance.
  • To take an attendance register for each training session.
  • To inform the coach of attendance numbers on training sessions in advance where possible.
  • To update the BS Sport Team and Development Officer of training dates for the academy and ensure these are published on the British Showjumping website and on Horse Monkey.
  • Ensure fully completed accident forms are forwarded to BS Sport Team for recording and onward notification to BS Insurers. A log of accident/incidents to be maintained by the coordinator.
  • Organise, in liaison with the Lead Coach, a variety of training initiatives including mounted and dismounted sessions.
  • To sign a confidentiality and Data Protection Agreement as well as a Code of Conduct form.
  • Check monthly account statements are correct.
