New British Showjumping Club Competition to hit Aintree on Sunday 24th July 2011

*This competition is open to all; there is no need to be a member!!*

Sunday 24th July 2011 At Aintree Racecourse, Aintree, Liverpool, L9 5AS

Start Time - 9am

Joining as a Club Member today will entitle you to;Jump at approved British Showjumping Club Competitions, Receive training from British Showjumping coaches across your region, £30million Public Liability Insurance, Two complementary National Tickets to Ride, As well as access to your own results and British Showjumping magazine online to keep you up to date all for only £30!

BRITISH SHOWJUMPING CLUB CLASSES (OPEN TO EVERYONE)

Open to non members of the Emergency Services & non members of British Showjumping

CLASS 1a - CLUB 70cms PONY OPEN

CLASS 1b - CLUB 70cms HORSE OPEN

To be run in 2 rounds - All those clear in round 1 will go forward to Round 2 over a shortened course. 2min time limit in Round 1

Club league points will be awarded in Riders own Regional League tables.

British Showjumping numnahs will be awarded to the PONY/HORSE rider combinations who achieve first place.  

ENTRY FEE - £10

CLASS 2a - CLUB 80cms PONY OPEN

CLASS 2b - CLUB 80cms HORSE OPEN

To be run in 2 rounds - All those clear in round 1 will go forward to Round 2 over a shortened course. 2min time limit in Round 1

Rosettes/Prizes will be awarded according to Entries. Horses/ponies may only enter once in any competition.

Any age can compete on ponies and 12yrs and over on horses.

Club points will be awarded for every 1 in 5 starters and any points gained throughout this show can be redeemed for up to 7 days after the date. 

Any points awarded will go towards the regional league tables and the top 40 riders from each region will qualify for regional championships. There are 8 regions across the UK and riders can collect league points in all regions.

The League will run from 1st June – 31st May 2012. Club league points will be awarded to horse/pony & rider combinations who must be Club Members of the BS to gain the points. Club league points will be awarded as follows – 1st = 12, 2nd = 10, 3rd = 8, 4th = 6, 5th = 4 & 6th = 3.   3 points will be awarded to all double clear’s including an extra 3 points to prize winners if a double clear has been jumped.

UNAFFLIATED CLASSES (OPEN TO EVERYONE)

CLASS 4 - OPEN 3FT

Juniors and seniors will run together but classes will be split for prize giving (Please state on entry form if a junior (16 years and under) for prize giving)

ENTRY FEE - £10

CLASS 5 – OPEN 3FT 3

Juniors and seniors will run together but classes will be split for prize giving (Please state on entry form if a junior (16 years and under) for prize giving)

ENTRY FEE - £10

Rosettes to 6th place (prize money to the first 3 in each section if sufficient entries)

Conditions of Entry

All persons entering the Showground must have Personal & Public Liability Insurance.  The Committee will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury to any animal, person or property whilst on the Showground. Please note that under NO circumstances must anyone other than the Judge, Stewards, Competitors enter the International Showjumping Arena. (Except for course walking)

Hard Hats must be worn at all times to the minimum standard was a harness properly adjusted and fastened. WN1384, PSO15:1998, ASTM F1163, BSEN14572:2005

Liability – the organisers or anyone acting on their behalf accept no liability whatsoever for loss injury, or damage to any animal, property, persons, or vehicle how so ever caused.

Objections must be handed in to the secretary in writing, within half an hour of event, together with a deposit of £25.  The deposit will be forfeited if the show officials decide the objection is not sustained.

The organisers reserve the right to refuse and entry without giving reason and to cancel/alter the time of any class..

This competition will be held under BS and BD rules.

All horses and ponies to be four years and over, vaccinated.

No horseboxes to be mucked out onto car park.

No horses to be left unattended whilst on the showground.

Horses not to be fed haynets outside of horsebox or left unaccompanied whilst tied to horsebox.

Health and Safety

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For those measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all judges, officials and stewards.
