Reaseheath College Training Opportunities

Reaseheath College has a number of equine training opportunities available one being their work-based Horse Care Intermediate Apprenticeships.
 
Grants are available for employers up to £1,500 who take on a young (16-24 years old) apprentice subject to eligibility and Reaseheath will help you with this application.
This qualification includes: Horse care, stable routines, basic horse health, welfare, watering and feeding horses, care and fitting of saddlery and horse clothing, Health and safety in the horse industry; a full list of options can be made available for you to consider.
 
The framework for this qualification also includes a Technical Certificate delivered at Reaseheath’s renowned Equine centre on a day release programme. The time taken to complete an apprenticeship will vary depending on prior experience and knowledge from 12months to 2 years.
 
We can help you find an equine apprentice where your business is located through our vacancy matching service which is FREE to you. We also have candidates who have applied for a post in equine on our subject to placement list which can save you time and money on recruitment. Please complete the attached NAS form if you would like to benefit from this service.
Reaseheath is well known for its’ specialist work in Equine and all things Land Based.   You may not be aware that we run a very successful Horse Care Apprenticeship programme alongside our full time equine courses. This programme is work based with day release at College where we have invested over £35million in the past five years to create State of the Art facilities.
 
Young people are high on the Government’s Agenda and we at Reaseheath have an important part to play in helping them take their first steps on the career ladder. Financial support is available to you if you are planning to:
 
·         take on board /enrol a young person 16 -24yrs as an Apprentice and you’ve not had an Apprentice in the past 12 months
 
 and or/
 
·         take on an Apprentice aged 19+ from the Government’s Work Programme
