OPEN TO ALL YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A REGISTERED WITH BRITISH SHOWJUMPING TO JUMP IN THESE CLASSES NO TICKET TO RIDER REQUIRED

CLASS 1 Club 70cm Horse – Regional point’s qualifier

CLASS 4 Club 1.00m Horse – Regional point’s qualifier

 For any horse rider combination without a registered/ graded result at Amateur 90cm, British Novice and above in the last 3 years. Regional Leagues (Scotland, Northern, East Midlands, West Midlands, Wales, East, South East, South West)  Classes and Regional Leagues at 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, 1.00m.
· Horse and Ponies in separate leagues – separate Regional Leagues (8 Regions)
· No prize money
· Annual Regional Championships
· Leagues to run from 1st June – May 31st
· All results to be graded – thereby giving a full competition record.
· Club Membership includes two “National Tickets to Ride” allowing them to compete in two national classes per year to encourage progression to National Membership.
The Details
· Horse/ pony can be registered with more than one Club member – results based on horse-rider combination.
· Club horse/ pony can be registered as a National horse/pony simultaneously (providing they meet eligibility criteria).
· Club Rider can be registered as a National Member simultaneously (providing they meet eligibility criteria).
· Horses/ponies can only compete once in any class.
· No stallions.
· Any age rider on ponies (adults eligible to ride ponies).
· Children can ride horses from the beginning of the calendar year in which the age of 12 is reached (FEI Rules).
· Horses/ponies of any age may be registered, but may not compete before the beginning of the year in which the age of four is reached.
· For an initial introductory 4 month period competitors do not have to be members to compete at Club Shows, competitors can register as Club Members up to 7 days after the competition and regain points won. Hence initially all unaffiliated can compete at Club competitions.

Club Membership Rules
Official requirements – minimum of 1 Associate Judge and 1 Assistant Course Builder
Basic timing equipment required no countdown timer or display clock/board required.
There are two types of classes which competitors can gain Regional League Points:
Option 1: NB. At Club Competitions the first round or first phase of the competitions, time faults will not be allocated instead there will be a time limit of 2 minutes competitors who exceed this will incur elimination.
A7 (amended, first round not timed, where there are insufficient clears to fulfil placings, lower placing will be decided by first round faults, equal faults will share placing and points will be equally awarded not split)
Single Phase ,Two Phase
In these classes points will be allocated as follows:
1st – 12 points, 2nd- 10 points, 3rd – 8 points, 4th – 6 points, 5th – 4 points, 6th – 3 points. 3 points will be allocated to all those who achieve double clear; those who are placed will receive an additional 3 points if they have had a double clear.
These classes will run at 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1.00m.
Option 2: In an attempt to encourage these competitors to achieve clear rounds and aid their development the second type of class is a Double Clear Class. In these classes the time limit is applied however there is no section against the clock. The aim of this class is to achieve a double clear, those who do will be joint 1st and will all receive 6 points.
These classes will also be run at 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1.00m.
It is at the discretion of the show as to which of these competitions they choose to run.
Heights in “Jump –Off”/ Second phases can be a maximum of 5cm higher than the first round.

Faults
Knock down – 4 faults, First refusal – 4 faults, Second refusal (anywhere on the course) – 4 faults
Third refusal (anywhere on the course) – Elimination, Fall (anywhere on the course) – Elimination
All other faults as per British Showjumping rule book.

Dress
Same as National Rules, however we are asking officials to apply these rules more leniently for these members who are new to British Showjumping. These members will be made aware of the dress expected of them however where there are breeches of these regulations we ask that you allow the individual to compete but make them aware of what is expected in future. Exceptions to National Rules – Spurs may not exceed 2cm for any Club Rider. All those on ponies are allowed to wear half chaps/ gaiters.

Same as National; Rule 102 - All those on Ponies – no Market Harborough, combination bits, Hackamores or Bitless Bridle
