Emma enjoyed a Major Olympia.

Emma enjoyed a Major Olympia.

After enjoying the British Showjumping Area 36 Mini/Major Series, 11 year old Emma Morgan (pictured) of South Pembrokeshire Hunt Pony Club was selected to represent Wales in the class at Olympia. As Emma's own pony was not eligible, Sarah Hughes very kindly lent her Charmaine so she was able to compete. However, the pair had less than two months training together before they were competing against top JA Ponies.

Emma was drawn with Swedish Olympic Silver Medallist Pedar Fredericson who rode a very steady clear round on H&M Sibon and gave Emma a lot of encouragement. Taking over Emma rode determinedly, but whilst going for a fast time, a fence down resulted in a four seconds time fault leaving them in 7th place.

For Emma it was an amazing experience to compete at this level, and she would like to thank Sarah Hughes for all her help and everyone in British Showjumping Area 36 and South Pembrokeshire Pony Club for their incredible support.
