Tickets for Olympia, The London International Horse Show 2021 to go on sale next week!

The organisers of Olympia, The London International Horse Show – which this year takes place at ExCeL London – have today announced their much-anticipated Box Office opening dates. Priority bookers – those who attended the 2019 Show – will be able to purchase their tickets during an exclusive 48-hour pre-sale on Wednesday 19 May, with general sale to follow on Friday 21 May. The Show, which will feature all the festive equestrian excitement of previous events, will run across five days from 16 – 20 December 2021.

The announcement follows news that the Show will move to ExCeL London for 2021 due to ongoing building work at the Olympia Halls. The additional space facilitated by ExCeL London will allow The London International Horse Show to retain its customary three FEI World CupTM competitions and host over 90,000 visitors. In addition, the venue will enable extensive improvements and additional facilities for both competitors and visitors, including a spacious warm-up arena which will be freely accessible to the public, and wider seating with more leg-room for top and second-tier ticket holders.

With no Show in 2020 due to COVID-19, demand has escalated for the 2021 edition, with tickets expected to sell out quickly. As such, prospective buyers are recommended to act swiftly to avoid missing out on attending the celebrated equestrian Christmas event.

The London International Horse Show is the UK’s largest indoor Show, hosting three FEI World CupTM events in Show Jumping, Dressage and Carriage Driving, which bring with them exceptional elite competition and talent.

The action takes a flying start with three performances on Thursday 16 December, showcasing the FEI Dressage World CupTM Grand Prix in the Morning Session, followed by the Extreme Driving in the Afternoon Performance. During the Evening Performance, guests will enjoy one of the highlights of the Olympia experience, the world-famous Puissance.

On Friday 17 December the day begins with the Services Jumping, the pinnacle of the military competition calendar. In the Afternoon Performance, it is all about speed, as the first part of the FEI Driving World CupTM plays out on the London stage, whilst in the evening Dressage takes centre stage for the FEI Dressage World CupTM Freestyle to Music.

Saturday 18 December is set to be an unmissable spectacle. The Afternoon Performance features the renowned Six Bar jumping competition – a traditional highlight of The London International Horse Show – whilst the Evening Performance will host the final of the FEI Driving World CupTM.

All eyes will be on ExCeL London on Sunday 19 December, for the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM, scheduled during the Afternoon Performance. The competition, which sees the world’s best riders go head-to-head, is considered the most hotly contested jumping competition in the British Isles. The younger competitors will take centre stage during the Evening Performance, as the 128cm jumping ponies show off their talents in The Mini Stakes.

The grand finale of the Show comes on Monday 20 December, which features an Afternoon Performance full of fun with The Pony Club Mini Major and The Mistletoe Speed Stakes. The competitive action rounds off in style, with both The U25 British Championship and The London International Horse Show Grand Prix, a fitting climax to the event, in the Evening.

It would not be The London International Horse Show without The Shetland Pony Grand National. The competition, which is set to feature a talented line-up of young jockeys, has seen an outstanding roster of talent in the past, including Olive Nicholls, daughter of 10-time British National Hunt Champion Trainer, Paul Nicholls, and Rocco Dettori, son of three-time Champion Flat Jockey Frankie Dettori. Joining the crowd-pleasing entertainment will be a show classic, The Kennel Club Dog Agility, in which some of the country’s most skilled canine competitors will battle it out against the clock for victory. Spectacular international displays, to be announced in due course, will complete the line-up.

Show Director Simon Brooks-Ward said: “The London International Horse Show 2021 is set to be the best ever and we’re really excited to once again showcase the world’s best equestrian action alongside fantastic family entertainment. The facilities at ExCeL London will enable us to enhance the experience for both competitors and visitors and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the venue in December.”

On top of the sensational equestrian action, 2021 will welcome the return of Olympia’s renowned Shopping Village, which, through its wonderful mix of unique stalls, provides the perfect setting for a spot of last-minute Christmas shopping.

There will be a range of ticket options available, with tickets starting from just £12 for access to the Shopping Village and access to the elite competitive action from just £29.50.
