How To Join/Renew

Our Club Membership classes start at 60cm and National Membership classes at 70cm. In addition to a structured and safe environment for you to compete in with national championships to aim for, British Showjumping also offers both Junior and Senior Academies which deliver comprehensive training programmes in addition to an extensive list of UKCC Accredited coaches who can help you reach your goals.

Below are step by step guides to help you join British Showjumping as either a National, Club or Just for Schools Member, along with how to join a horse/pony, how to join using our Pony Club & Riding Club discounts and how to change the ownership of a horse/pony.

All memberships/registrations can be processed online via your Members Online account (see Step 1). Any memberships/registrations processed manually via the office will be subject to an additional £10 administration fee. 
 

Step 1 - Joining as a Member

  • Go to https://www.britishshowjumping.co.uk/
  • Remember to check to see if you can save money on your joining fee by using one of our New Member Discounts – details of how to join using these can be found below.
  • Then go to our Members Online area and click ‘Not registered or can’t log in’.
  • Go to Option 3 – ‘If you have never been a member of British Showjumping’ and click ‘Create Online Account’.
  • Fill in the required details and click ‘Create Account’.
  • You will then receive a confirmation email, click the link to verify the email account.
  • You can now login using the details you just created and easily process all your memberships/registrations online.

STEP 2 - Joining your horse or pony

  • Log into your Members Online account (see step 1).
  • Go to ‘Your Horses’ - ‘Add a Horse’ - ‘Register new Horse’
  • Fill in the required details (you will need to add 3 horse name choices and click ‘Check’ for each option) then click ‘Next Step’.
  • Select the registration type – read and ‘Accept Declaration’ then click ‘Register’.
  • Checkout and make the payment..

STEP 3 - Change of Ownership request for a horse or pony

  • Log into your Members Online account (see step 1).
  • Go to ‘Your Horses’ - ‘Add a Horse’ - ‘Change of Ownership’.
  • Fill in the required details, read and accept the ‘Conditions of Ownership’ then click ‘Next Step’.
  • Select the registration type – ‘Change of Ownership’.
  • Checkout and make the payment.

STEP 4 - Joining as a Club Member

Don't forget that as a Club Member you can compete on a pony without any age restrictions. 
  • Log into your Members Online account (see step 1).
  • Go to ‘Club/Schools’ - ‘New Club Membership’.
  • Select the relevant option – ‘Join Club without a horse/pony’, ‘Join Club with a new horse/pony’, or ‘Join Club with an existing horse/pony’ (which has been registered with British Showjumping before).
  • If you are joining a new horse/pony fill in the required details, read and accept the 'Declaration'/'Antidoping' policy then click ‘Confirm’.
  • You will then need to fill in the details relevant to the chosen option
  • Checkout and make the payment.

STEP 5 - Joining as a Just for Schools Member

Existing National and Club Members can add the Just for Schools membership free of charge (members must be aged between 5 & 19 and in full time education). 
  • Log into your Members Online account (see step 1).
  • Go to ‘Club/Schools’ - ‘New Schools Membership’.
  • Select the relevant option – ‘Join Just for Schools without a horse/pony’, ‘Join Just for Schools with a new horse/pony’, or ‘Join Just for Schools’ with an existing horse/pony (which has been registered with British Showjumping before).
  • Under the ‘Rider’ drop down, pick the required rider then click ‘Select’.
  • If you are joining a new horse/pony fill in the required details, read and accept the 'Declaration'/'Antidoping' policy then click ‘Confirm’.
  • Checkout and make the payment.

STEP 6 - Joining using our Pony/Riding Club packages

  • Log into your Members Online account (see step 1).
  • Go to ‘Pony/Riding Club Packages’.
  • Validate Riding Club/Pony Club Membership – pick the rider and click ‘Select’.
  • Fill in the required details, read and accept the 'Declaration'/'Antidoping' policy then click ‘Submit’.
  • You will then receive an email confirming your PC/RC membership has been validated.
  • Go to ‘Start your Package’, under the ‘Rider’ drop down, pick the required rider then under the ‘Horse’ dropdown select the relevant option then click ‘Continue’.
  • Select the required membership type, read and accept the  policy and click ‘Join’
  • Checkout and make the payment.

Upon joining you will receive an email containing your membership details. All of your membership details/cards can be viewed via your Members Online account under ‘Cards’.
