CLUB MEMBERSHIP
For horse or pony and rider combinations who have had no registered results at Amateur 85cm, British Novice, Stepping Stones, Pony British Novice or above in the past three years. If you are a new rider on a horse/pony that may have points - it doesn't stop you joining and there is no age restrictions for those on ponies. Club classes start at 60cm through to 1.00m and points are gained for regional Club Leagues and there are Club Championships to aim for.
JUST FOR SCHOOLS MEMBERSHIP
Is open to riders in full time education, aged between 5 and 19 in the current year with Club/National membership, or those that are validated as being Pony/Riding Club members.
NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES:
Full Jumping Membership
Is available from the beginning of the year in which the age of 19 is reached. For members who wish to compete as a rider of a registered horse.
6 Month Full Jumping Membership
Same as above but for 6 months.
Full Visiting Membership
Is available from the beginning of the year in which the age of 19 is reached and confers all rights and privileges of membership other than company rights and privileges.
Associate Membership
Is available from the beginning of the calendar year in which the age of 17 is reached, until the end of the calendar year in which the age of 18 is reached. For members who wish to compete either as rider or owner.
Junior Rider Membership
Is available until the end of the calendar year in which the age of 16 is reached. Designed for Junior members who wish to compete on horses and/or ponies, Junior members competing on horses are only able to do so from the 1st October in the calendar year in which the age of 11 is reached. A parent or guardian must also join as a Jumping or Non-Jumping member.
Owner Membership
Is available from the beginning of the year in which the age of 19 is reached. For members who wish to own a horse or pony ridden by a member who are not necesarily the riders parent or guardian.
Temporary 120 Day Visiting Membership
Foreign riders wishing to compete at one or more shows for a continuous period not exceeding 120 days may do so providing they are currently registered under the relevant category. All horses/ponies they wish to compete must also be registered.
Non-Jumping Membership
Is available from the beginning of the calendar year in which the age of 19 is reached. For members who wish to be involved with the sport other than as an owner or rider, unless you are a parent of a Junior member. Non Jumping members may only be registered owners of ponies and horses to be ridden by their children or wards who are also members.
Non Jumping Official Membership
Is available only to British Showjumping Panel Judges and Course Designers and confers all general, meetings,voting and eligibility rights and privileges except that an Official member may not register in his or her ownership horses and/or ponies unless to be competed by immediate family.
Show Organiser Membership
Is available from the beginning of the calendar year in which the age of 19 is reached. A Show Organiser must be a current member of the Association before affiliating a British Showjumping show. Show Organisers hold a legal and financial responsibility for the respective show.
Show Secretary Membership
Is available from the beginning of the calendar year in which the age of 19 is reached. A Show Secretary may register in his or her ownership horses and/or ponies to be ridden only by members of his or her immediate family. A Show Secretary must be a current member of the Association before Affiliating a British Showjumping show.
Life Membership
Is available to all those over the age of 18. On the payment of a single fee, all the privileges of Jumping membership are included and annual renewal of subscription is unnecessary. The horses and ponies of a Life member are registered annually.
Stud Membership
Is available to studs who wish to promote British Breeding. This membership entitles the Stud to promote their own prefix for all homebred horses without a British Showjumping prefix charge.
Company Membership
This membership is available to partnerships and companies incorporated in Great Britain. When a companies prefix is used before a registered horse name the company must register and then register the company prefix.
